Evemon Files:

Blue Plan

Blue + Gold

Blue + Green

Blue + Red

** Evemon files assume an Amarr starting character. It has amarr frigate and small energy turrets pre-trained. **

With this plan you will have the basic skills needed to fly the newbie atron packs on contract in just a couple days. In a couple weeks you'll have a very well rounded skill set for fleet tackle frigates. It is recommended that even if you like big guns, that you try to learn to fly and survive as the frigate tackle. At the very least, learn spiraling and slingshotting. Having an understanding about how EVE-physics works will make piloting bigger ships easier.

Upon completion of the blue plan you should have mastered every skill (sans weapon upgrades) you'll want for basic frigates. Now, I'm aware that flying frigates for 108 days might not be desirable for everyone. I still strongly recommend you stick to frigates for your learning phrase, for a couple reasons.

1. Losing them doesn't mean much. Losing ships is a fact of life in EVE, even the best players lose ships. You want to be able to continue playing after you pop. Frigates are cheap.

2. Frigates are more difficult to fly. Yes, you heard it right. Frigates are more fast paced and require a lot more player skill than larger ships. If you can master frigate piloting, you will be much more confident about undocking in that 200mil+ battleship.

If you really cannot wait the 108 days, and your finances allows you to explore options, you can consider not training the additional navigation and targeting skills to level V. They are by the end of the plan. This will cut the blue plan by about half. Note that if you intend to live in null, you still need evasive maneuvering V for interceptors, and if you intend to fly logistics, you have to max the targeting skills.

Fake FAQ:

What about market PVP, PI, industry, etc?
This plan is focused on making you a productive member in PVP fleet engagement, with additional progression towards current Brave doctrines. You will have to follow another plan if you want something different.

There's no isk skill in there. How do I earn isk?
Check out this video
Works well in Catch. The same can be done in a thrasher (recommended especially with EM ammo), or an algos (require high drone skills).

What about this exploration thing I keep hearing about?
Exploration can be lucrative if you hit the jackpot. If you are ready to strike it rich, take a look at the Covert Cyno Scout training plan in sheet 2 of the document. It uses a lot of the same skills that are used in exploration, just add hacking and archaeology into the plan and you're good to go. Covert cyno pilots are rare because the cyno skill takes a long time to train. However, if you enjoy exploration and don't care too much about being just another grunt, I highly recommend it.

So why didn't you put weapon upgrades in the blue plan?
Because I want logi and other utility people to be able to skip it. Those plans are in higher demand and in shorter supply than the average DPSer, so anything that makes their training shorter is good for the fleet as a whole. Weapon upgrades are trained as needed in plans that has weapons. If you are still flying T1 frigates you probably want engineering or tanking mods instead of DPS mods, but if you want to use the DPS mods (ie. Heat Sink, etc) you will need weapon upgrades.
